Download OPAL

Free to download. Windows, macOS, and Linux — the one that’s with you from first engine to finished game.

Works with every current and prior O3DE version.

One download. Every O3DE engine, one click away.

Install OPAL, open it, and pick the engine you want. OPAL handles the rest — download, install, register. You never have to visit the O3DE downloads page again.

A plain-language summary of what you may and may not do is on the Licence Notice page.

After you download

1 · Install OPAL

Run the installer (Windows/macOS) or drop the AppImage somewhere you keep apps (Linux). Takes about thirty seconds.

2 · Install an engine

Open OPAL. The first-run wizard offers the latest O3DE release — pick it, or any older version, and OPAL downloads and registers it.

3 · Start building

Create a new project or import an existing one. Hit Launch. You’re in the Editor.
